In the year 1400 Andruetus Passerini, founder of a family of Florentine origin, fled from the conflict between Guelphs and Ghibellines, retiring to Valturnanche with a considerable sum of money.
Over the course of two centuries, the already economically important family received administrative, political and religious positions, and in 1556 SER.ME Emanuele Filiberto Duca d’Aosta granted the Passerin noble titles. The fiefdoms assigned to the Passerin were: Entrèves, Courmayeur, Brissogne, Escalier and Fornet in Valgrisenche. Today only the first branch of the family remains, of which Francesco is a descendant. Like many Passerin d’Entreves before him, Francesco married a Tuscan girl, Veronica. Francesco and Veronica manage the family business with great passion, blending a deep respect for tradition with a constant eye for innovation.
