Creativity in honour of genius
To mark the 500th anniversary of Leonardo da Vinci’s death on May 2nd, 2019, Dianella celebrated his genius by bringing back the special Malvasia di Candia grape from Leonardo’s vineyard at the Atellani home in Milan to his birthplace of Vinci. Guests can visit the vineyard and taste a special menu, or take part in a unique cooking class inspired by Leonardo, preparing and enjoying special dishes from his era, discovering stories about his life, and learning about the use of his inventions and machines which were precursors of many modern kitchen tools, made for the kitchen of Lodovico il Moro. L’aquarosa will be one of the stars of the class, made following the original recipe from Leonardo’s Codex Atlanticus. The chef will reveal its secrets during the class, and it will be served together with dessert as part of the Leonardo-inspired menu.
