New Chapter at Villa Dianella: Restoration of the Former Medici Stables Completed
Villa Dianella will become even more welcoming with 6 new suites in the stables, adding to the 6 in the Medici villa.
Finally, the Dianella village comes back to life in its entirety. The restoration began in the late 90s with the Medici Villa and its chapel, then moved on to the granaries, the farmhouses for the farm staff with the wine cellar, and finally the swimming pool and the stables.
Every space was carefully restored while respecting the original style.
Currently, the village houses the farm buildings with their cellars, the main house, the chapel where Renato Fucini is buried, the swimming pool, and the wine resort with 12 suites named after Dianella wines. The rooms – each unique – are spacious and offer magnificent views of the Italian garden or the farm’s vineyards. Equipped with all comforts and a refrigerated wine cabinet with a selection of Dianella wines, guests can enjoy a good glass at any time of the day, as befits a wine resort. In line with our traditional focus and dedication to historical preservation, the new rooms have been crafted using reclaimed materials – bricks, terracotta, wood, burlap sacks, and Florentine straw for armchairs and beds. The Tuscan tradition and the original atmosphere of the stables, combined with all modern conveniences, ensure a unique, relaxing, and comfortable stay.
In addition to the elegance of the new rooms, our guests will have the opportunity to experience firsthand the daily life in a Medici villa. You can stroll in our gardens, enjoy a meal in our restaurant, participate in wine tastings, or simply relax and enjoy the view.
