Villa Piaggia: a country home to be enjoyed together

By 21 October 2025December 15th, 2025No Comments

There are places you don’t simply visit, you live in them.
Villa Piaggia, on the hills of Montaione, is one of those places.
It is not a hotel, nor an agriturismo with rooms to book: it is a Tuscan country house, spacious, quiet, filled with light, rented exclusively as a whole.

Those who arrive here do not find a reception desk, but a large door opening onto historic living rooms, a long wooden table, a lit fireplace, and a view stretching across vineyards and cypress trees.
It is a place meant to be shared, with family or close friends. You cook together, dine in the garden, swim in the pool while watching the hills change color with the light.

A long history, timeless in spirit

Villa Piaggia stands along the Via Francigena, the ancient pilgrims’ route.
Over the centuries it has been a convent, a noble residence, and a summer retreat.
Today it belongs to the Passerin d’Entrèves family, the same owners as Villa Dianella, who have restored it while preserving the simple, welcoming soul of the Tuscan countryside.

Inside, everything carries the warmth of lived-in spaces: wooden beams, terracotta floors, windows open to the fresh air of the Montalbano hills.
Outside, there is only nature and silence.

A villa for those who seek space and freedom

The house’s 800 square meters can accommodate up to twenty-one guests.
There is a large kitchen, multiple bedrooms, a billiard room, and a private swimming pool overlooking the vineyards.
More than the numbers, however, it is the feeling that matters: here you feel at home, yet far from everything.

There are no schedules, no strangers.
Only time to do what is often missing: sit down, talk, and watch the sunset with a glass of wine.

The Tuscan countryside beyond the postcard

Villa Piaggia is also a working farm.
Here, Chianti wine, extra virgin olive oil, and honey are produced organically, all handmade.
Guests who wish can take part in the grape harvest or olive picking, join a cooking lesson, or enjoy a tasting among the barrels.
These are simple but genuine experiences that let you step into the rhythm of rural life.

A home for coming together

Villa Piaggia is chosen for birthdays, weddings, work retreats, or simply to spend time together.
It is a place that welcomes without formality, where luxury means peace and quiet.
You don’t come here “to take a vacation,” but to live a piece of Tuscany as if it were your own home.
