FATTORIA DIANELLA: TRADITION AND INNOVATION

Fattoria Dianella is located in a panoramic position on the sweet rolling hills of Vinci, native town of Leonardo da Vinci.
The Estate is located in the Chianti DOCG area, the most west one named “Montalbano”, one of the Chianti DOCG districts since 1932, already mentioned in an Announcement of the Grand Duke of Tuscany in 1796 as an area highly vocated for the production of smooth wines with deep flavours.

The Estate has an extension of 90 hectares of which 25 hectares are vineyards placed on hilly, calcareous grounds of middle medley at an altitude of about 200 meters above sea level with a south, south-west exposure. The vineyards, in organic conversion, have a density of 5500 plants per hectare and a spur cordon training system.

Francesco and Veronica Passerin d’Entrèves follow all the stages of the production from the vineyards to the cellar, offering a selection of products made in respect of the tradition and of the philosophy that the wine must be expression of its “terroir”.

The will to transmit their passion for wines brought Francesco and Veronica Passerin d’Entrèves to create a museum dedicated to the process of wine-making in the ancient historical cellars of the Fattoria Dianella.
